monitor stand
Working on my project today, I became quickly annoyed at the poor use of vertical real estate on wide screen monitors. What's more is the fact that I now have a side bar (samurize), which when vista showed off as one of its new features I thought "eww what a waste of space" however now with the width of a wide screen I find it quite nice, because it also makes my web pages thinner, meaning that horizontal real estate, which I thought was going to be wasted, is saved - well better used.

So now (and this is how my train of thought goes):
problem: not enough vertical real estate too much horizontal real estate
solution: 90degree rotation.
problem: monitor not designed to that
solution: build a stand for it

possible problem: over heating
possible solution: drill holes in side of case.

Of course my dad has different idea's on how to rotate my display. His involves two wooden straps over the base screwed onto a board, which is in turn screwed to a perpendicular board.

strange how this time my dads idea involves less work, however my idea is potentially better, and more universal. Though definitely more aesthetically pleasing
