ok first point, i did want to try making this a weekly blog, where i would update every thursde....but it appears that every 6days something happens to me that i deem 'blog' worthy so .... meh
anyways attempted to go dual boot with vista today (i know....me and vista *pretends to puke*) and well....something was wrong with my copy....cause vista wouldn't load.
it installed fine
but when it came to booting it fucking crashed, and failed at seeking out XP to at least give me back my computing power
my solution > "fuck it...i'll go to vista.....fucking microshit" so i wiped my XP and installed vista in its place....fucker still wouldnt boot. so now i'm back to XP. got my cam installed, got YIM installed, and got winamp running. infact apart from stupid little tweaks and MSN messenger, i think this is the quickest i've ripped apart an installation and restored everything....god this gets annoying
so anyways, now what i realy REALY want, is a copy of vista, and information on how (if at all possible) to create my own winborg style installer for it. and i just want to drop to vista, and go live my life on the ugliest operating system currently available
vista advantage:
directx 10
will be able to play shadowrun
XP advantage:
I know it
this is a case where the phrase "better the devil you know" does not apply
upon not being able to create a winborg style vista, i shall look into getting a ghost program. and then my cycle will be :
one off:
install vista
install drivers
install firefox
install xmouse
install(and patch)msn messenger
install(and config)yim
install xnview
configuare vista into an OS i can use.
GHOST IT
then when i need to re-install it will be a case of:
rollback to old ghost
update programs (i.e. winamp, vista, firefox)
create new ghost
bin old ghost
anyways, off to try separating two fussed drives now .... what joy ^_^ |
