just so you know i have two fans on my mobo atm that are plugged into the mobo, and thus controllable. when i'm running in quite mode i have both my cpu fan and other fan at 40% spped, and my tempratures stay resinably low. where as turning them full blast 100% means alot less heat build up....
i thought AVG was gona kill my processor. quite mode, with all four cores maxing out...hit around 60degrees, and holy shit i was scared....as well as setting my fan speeds back up, i set avg scan to affinity of only two of my cores and i was still worried
though even with my limiting it did take under half an hour, where previsuly, i would be looking at two hours for a virus scan. which to me proves that each core is 2.5 givin me a theroticle 10ghz processor =D god damn i need better cooling

trying getting third stick o ram working

try getting dual channel to work
mount larger heat sing on processor (involves removing secondary fan :(
check if temperatures are lowered
sort fan placement in case (hdd running around 40 and need cooling now...)
attach best cooling available
mount computer in case
to spend on:
BETTER COOLING - i wana overclock this bad boy and see if i get push a theroticle 12ghz out the fucker....hell even one extra theroticle ghz will do |
